This is my complaint about Rob's "politesse."  I've
been thinking about things, 'cos I get mad quickly but
not for long.  Rob reads ambivalence (among other
things), Rob writes ambivalenty (among other things). 
"Plausible deniability."  I read allusion, citation,
allegory, historicity, I write allusively, I cite, I
allegorize, I historicize.   Inter/extratextuality. 
Anway, on politeness ...

Well, mine is either genuine or I think fairly clearly
marked as otherwise.  I hesitate to use the word
"obviously" here, but ... but I will mention that I
believe now that that Anglo-Saxonism was not Rob's,
but rather someone else somehwere else who Rob
nonetheless strongly reminds me of ...

And I did notice that our "offlist" correspondence
apparently began because we BOTH misatkenly assumed
the otehr was attempting to correspond offlist. 
That's where the ugliness began (allusion to The
Montanas here).  The rest we would have diagreed on
anyway ...
