Maybe the revolt of some state legislatures refusing to implement the Patriot 
Act?  

But fascism is a very specific form of capitalist evolution, and I don't 
think we're at that stage yet.  The very fact that we can have these discussions 
is proof of that.  I prefer to give the current mess the apellation "decadent 
imperialist."  It seems to fit the mold better.
