Yeah. She claims that Vond took away people from her. Frenesi and ?

Her story (Herstory) includes details about  her her parents careers and
their relationships. At one point DL talks about egging her father on so
that he will beat his wife. (a essay that gets at some of this stuff is
in that Oak. Law Journal ... Moody;s domestic violence and so forth) We
learn a lot about her Mother and Father. Her professional developments
and her career track, like Frenzy's career path, as if it were born in
some kind of Central London Hatchery And Conditioning Centre (BNW),
seems predestined or spliced into her genes. Now, DL is gonna put a
death touch on BV. Both Americans, both are in Japan. She's gonna do it
in disguise. Now, disguises in P's fiction (like skin, tourism all that
V. stuff) don't hide what is underneath (Zoyd goes looking for one in
the early chapters so we know he's a member of the sick crew). What is
underneath? Well, taking a quick look at what is going on here helps. DL
is mixing Death & Sex. Her disguise, as a Frenesi-Prostitute, tells us
that she is doing the decay dance, the dance of death. She takes the job
because she is on love with death. Who isn't? Well, Prairie. Not yet
anyway.
