It does indeed, and I agree. For some reason I read it as "lenses" (my brain
saw the collocation "contact lenses" no doubt). I don't understand why this
would make him look any more (or less) "stupid", however.

I'm not so sure. It seems odd that a few months before when Ralph approached
her with the same offer she didn't trust him at all and changed her identity
and drove off to Ohio. Now, after he has had her kidnapped, flown to Japan,
sold into slavery (which she gets a sort of kick out of), and made the exact
same offer, she agrees to it? Not only does she agree to take the contract
on Brock, she signs on to become a prostitute with the Mafia and she has
24-hour "jackhammer sex" with Ralph. And, even more bizarre, she agrees to
let Brock fuck her.

She's one mixed-up broad.
