Free-associating here, but to me this seems to be a weird combination of the robot duck that would eventually become part of Mason & Dixon, as well as a twist on a Disneyland tour which, of course, is parodied to a degree by Isaiah 2:4 earlier in the novel with his violence Theme Park idea (p. 19).
