I sure hope you guys have a lot to say as all I seem to have are some
questions. Sorry if this is a little insipid.

The chapter is framed by Aggro World

107 "Described in Aggro World as....."
And
128 "In an interview with Aggro World years later....."

Anyone know if this (presumably a publication) actually exists or
existed? Sounds like it could be the house magazine of Isaiah's business
venture.

Seems to be a lot of reflection here. The retreat "almost readably"
reflects the landscape. More later.

SP Tracks? Lot of references but no definition found.

"one of those ladies' auxiliaries that kept springing up..."

And still do -

On March 21, 1970, the Minnesota Knights of Columbus granted to the
Minnesota Knights of Columbus Councils authorization to form Auxiliaries
and charter for the Minnesota State Knights of Columbus Ladies
Auxiliary.

The basic principles set forth are:

to unite all units of the Knights of Columbus Ladies' organizations
within the state and give them official stature.
to assist the Knights of Columbus Councils in Minnesota in their
Spiritual, Charitable, Educational, Philanthropic and Social activities.

to bring into closer relations all Knights of Columbus Auxiliaries in
order to join in common projects to unify their work, thus increasing
their efficiency and service by giving them united strength.

There are 34 Auxiliaries affiliated with the State with over 1600
members.

"Kiddie ninja weekends" again part of Isaiah's business plan.

"In the grip of a merciless nostalgia...." What for?

In the middle of the beautiful description of the retreat, we get:

"They had rounded a curve, and under the bright moon the forest fell
away and the land went sloping down in pastures and then thickets of
alder"

Immediately made me think of Robert Graves. I'll post the relevant bits
shortly.
