Offtopic but, HBO's Carnivale: Anybody else watching, enjoying?

It may not be very Pynchonesque, except there are several White Visitation-
tinged preterites on the show, 
but has a tone somewhere between the X-files and Twin Peaks.  

Apparently stars two talented Hollywood daughters, Clea Duvall and
Ms. Kristofferson, but I haven't really read up on their bios. 

Just a toothsome offering between Sex and the City and the winter
entrance of the Sopranoes.
