DL gets some remarkably good press here:


"The basic stone bowelflash had come and gone about the time DL showed
up, all in black including helmet and face shield, riding her esteemed
and bad red and silver Czech motorcycle, the Che Zed, overdesigned in
every part....."

The name of the motorcycle is hardly an accident - they don't happen
here. Just a joke? or what?

Chesed
"Lovingkindness"

Chesed is the fourth of the ten sefirot, and the first of the emotive
attributes within Creation.

Chesed appears in the configuration of the sefirot along the right axis,
directly beneath chochmah, and corresponds in the tzelem Elokim to the
"right arm.''

Chesed is associated in the soul with the desire to embrace all of
Creation and bestow upon it goodness. As the expansive force which
impels the soul to connect with outer reality, chesed inspires, and thus
implicitly accompanies, all the other expressions of emotive force which
succeed it in the soul.

Some Chesed-related crises are more about HOW TO BLESS OTHERS than how
to help oneself. Strongly humanitarian personality types (such as
teachers, healers and therapists) are quite prone to this.. as are
parents, lovers and friends of someone who is undergoing a life-changing
crisis or trauma AND WHO DESPERATELY WANT TO HELP their loved-one get
through the problem.
