calls California a "laboratory for transformation" in her book "The Aquarian
Conspiracy" (1980) -- I have only the translation (Sphinx Verlag, Basel
1982), but you can get used copies for 0.40$ (!) at Amazon_com, Amazon_de
lists 19 used copies of the translation for 1.40 Euro. It's a good overview
of the New Age-business back then.
