Otto, the Students didn't think the symbol an empty one. That's your
opinion. 
You disagree with what the students did.  They chose Lady Liberty as
their symbol. You claim  that the students chose the Statue of Liberty
because of  amnesia and ignorance. You claim that the students in Prague
read Jefferson in the streets because they too suffered from amnesia and
ignorance. I disagree.
