Search Pynchon on amazon

I searched for "a screaming comes across the sky" and got GR as the #2 hit.
The #1 was a book by someone named Andrew Lewis Conn called P: A Novel,
which seems to be some sort of rewrite of Ulysses.  The quote was: 

". . . freezes. The earth trembles, the midnight sun is darkened, a
screaming comes across the sky, red rails of the apocalypse spin out of
every corner, . . ."

Anybody read this book?
