The question of when Sudarg lived and when the mirror was made is coyly
addressed in his index entry, which also seems to show no awareness on
Kinbote's part of the Gradus connection:
Sudarg of Bokay, a mirror maker of genius, the patron saint of Bokay in the
mountains of Zembla, 80; life span not known.
