It probably got mentioned during the last group read, and I'm sure that
anyone who's interested can use the pynchon-l keyword search engine and
check out the archives to read whichever posts they want to without needing
to be prompted, but the description of how Millard Hobbs goes from "actor
playing a company logo" to "majority owner", and the way, "being an actor,
he started believing" the myth that he was the "real owner" (46-7), seems to
be a barely warmed-over rehash of the funnier Manny di Presso/Metzger
actor-lawyer routine in _Lot 49_.
