Set up, like a bowling pin.

Zoyd, a Rip Van Winkle of sorts, wakes up, gets a late start, smokes a
joint, writes a bad check for a dress, heads over to a logger bar with a
borrowed chain saw where he plans to cut the place up and make a scene.
He's been
planning this for weeks. His plan is get the local TV crews up to the
logger bar and piss off the badass logger
patrons see what happens, collect his disability check.

His check is a payment he
receives in exchange for performing a publicly crazy act once a year.
It comes from a deal he made with Brock Vond and Hector Zuniga.

Buster (do any of Zoyd's Vineland associates have real names?) reminds
Zoyd that he should stick to his MO, window jumping, cause any change
might open a file of worms in a government computer and send Zoyd's
gravy train
back to the government soup kitchen. Buster's business caught the wave
Zoyd missed. How did that happen? The act has gotton much bigger than
Zoyd but it hasn't added much to his personal bottom line. Everyone
doing business with the guy is making out. Like Hector, Zoyd hasn't been
able to cash in.

Buster wants Zoyd to get down to the Cuke. So do they.

Zoyd called them this morning to tell them what he was planning to do.
But they wouldn't hear of it. Don't call us, we'll call you. And they
do. One of his other partners, Van Meter, calls him to remind him
that he has been rescheduled and that he needs to come down to the Cuke
and do his thing.

Down to the Cuke he goes.

There, after parking in one of Van Meter's
parking spots, he meets his old friend and partner Hector. He talks
with Ralph Wayvone Jr., remittance man and manager of the Cuke, son of
Ralph Wayvone, a wealthy business man, about a mafia wedding gig.

Hector invites Zoyd to lunch. Let's do lunch, it's the '80s. Zoyd agrees
to the
free lunch after Hector bites the fake TV window glass, demonstrating
that he, Hector Zuniga, is still bad enough to have connections in law
enforcement and hollywood and that Zoyd has been fucked over by his
other partners once again.

Zoyd is still dealing drugs and working in the drug business and the
same shit that was happening to him at Gordita is still happening only
now it's gotten bigger.

Zoyd goes home, gives the hot dress he "purchased" with a hot check to
his daughter and smokes another joint. His daughter has been watching
the Clara Bow Story on the Tube. In Clara's most famous film, _IT_, a
government welfare agent tries to take away the child of a single mother
after she loses her job. Prairie is looking to the Tube for a Tubal
family. After some fat talk and TV, it's time for Lets Make A Deal.
Prairie, sets Zoyd up for her man Isaiah Two Four who pitches Zoyd a
violence theme park business plan. KInda like the way they set up Hector
and Van Meter re-introduced the old buddies.
