Odd . . . The whole Takeshi Fumimota thing starting with Zoyd's
gig in the airplane through DL and the Puncutron is Gibson. A
night or maybe a lifetime in the New Rose Hotel anyone? Beats
me how Mr. Jameson avoids mention of VL.
More than work defining the characters, it's simply what they
do. Pale Fire is pretty entertaining for the first third, maybe
fourth or fifth. Suffering along with Kinbote's creepiness
brought to us by his brain chatter really made me appreciate
characters known only by means of their actions. That Hector
is the only one that comes to mind who attempts to change his
routine and become something else while managing to stay in character.
