You R kidding. Right? You mean to suggest that whenever  an author of
fiction rips a page or two out of history it follows that he is
necessarily sympathetic to some faction/cause/political agency/... 
associated with that history? Doesn't sound like you've gotten around to
reading too much fiction, Mike.
