Okay, I left out the other factor mentioned in the text - the love for FDR
- but what I wrote was a historical confirmation of the passage you quote.
Since Sasha is clearly a Trotskyist she's not going to be anti-war through
loyalty to the Soviets. We are discussing passages set in historical
moments. Looking beyond the text is necessary unless you are complaining
that P should have written in the whole history of the period.
