A couple of other things about this section of note are the fact that Zoyd
forgets Prairie's birthdate when he meets "Trillium" (308.3), and also the
way Prairie grasps "two delighted fistfuls of that long hair" -- obviously
it's like Frenesi's (Trillium reminds both father and daughter of Frenesi
I'd say is the point here). When Trillium takes her and nurses her the baby
thinks she's back with her mom. This prefigures Prairie's yearning for
Frenesi and characterises it as a drive which is instinctive rather than
intellectual.
NB also that "the Paranoids" from _Lot 49_ have finally hit the big time
(308.8-9).
