You're being disingenuous, of course, and you'd already provided the answer
yourself, as I noted.

I don't agree that the Thanatoids are "quite sick", or that that's the point
of their presence in the text. Most of their grievances are petty, or
they've forgotten what they are. They hold annual "Roasts" and wear bad
suits. It's a joke: they're not so different from the Becker-Traverses, or
anyone else in the 'burbs for that matter.
Any progress on providing references to all those people who tell you that
Pynchon is a conservative and a Catholic?
