You can read all about Tom at the Library next time you're in NYC. No,
pynchon didn't send his loyal pals out to all the libraries, including
the Oyster Bay library and historical society to purge his name and
photographs from the archives. He's something of a celebrity out in
Glenn Cove. Not they've named the high school library after him or
nothin, but .... and you though you had to go crawling through some
dusty old stacks in Massachusetts just to get a glimpse behind the black
veil.
