I would say maybe Mao2 is the best of the bunch though I think of that book in this day and age like I think of On the Road
Unreadable today
p.s. I highly recommend John Gimlette's travelogue At the Tomb of the Inflatable Pig, about Paraguay. Just finished it--nazis, cannibals, dictators, brutal wars, genocide, and much more...Gimlette's accentuates the absurdity, so it's not a slog for the reader

I've been trying to read the books that Pynchoid has been blurbing.
They suck. The latest is Goines. Unreadable. Very few junkies can write.

He doesn't read. He reads reviews.
