No, rich and smart are not the same.
In the high end service industries in Boston we have a code phrase "quest
for fire". It refers to the movie of that title.
It means "These people are so stupid that if they hadn't inherited millions
they would be huddled in a cave considering a quest for fire". When you
encounter QFR people, it's best to just yes them to death, do your job, and
send the bill to Daddy. It will be paid. Paris Hilton is QFR to the max.
These people don't understand what electricity is. They can't figure out how
to work the microwave oven. That's OK. Daddy will pay someone to do it for
you.
Mike Barnicle may be a plagiarist, but he had it right when he said that the
British Royal family, the Kennedys, and the Quayles are living proof that
great families degenerate into idiocy in the third generation. Now we have
the scion of the Prescotts and the Bushs to make that indisputable. God help
us all.
I'm pretty sure that Dubya is mystified by the universal remote to his home
entertainment center.
These people are in charge and we work for them. Horrifying as it may seem,
it kinda makes you think that Saloth Sar had a point. Our society is being
dragged down by these idiots.
