I know you guys like, not just tolerate, this stuff.
I was answering: Re: BABYLON study 3 THE GREAT CITY
I am a newcomer here, but I fetched and read
your Babylon msg #35, Babylon intro, and 1-3.
Very insightful, very helpful. High points:
> definition "confusion (by mixing)"
> But they would not listen,
> Babylon was coming and would destroy Jerusalem
> He came to earth to die on the cross.
> This time it is not Jerusalem a city on a map,
> So then the Days of Vengeance are immediately
> BEFORE THE RETURN OF CHRIST.
Okay! Tunes my understanding.
> puzzling things we encounter is the woman sitting on the
> beast known as BABYLON THE GREAT.
I can explain that...
> regarding the phrase "that great city,
> which reigns over the kings of the earth."
> It means we hold 2 things up that are alike and look at
> them alongside one another.
Oh, goodie... fig tree/mountain.
> kings of the earth ...
> But we also find the phrase used in a disturbing way.
> instead they are gathered together to make war against Him.
> The kings of the earth,
> and all the inhabitants of the world,
> would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy
> should have entered into the gates of Jerusalem.
> (Lam 4:12)
Ah yes.
I had missed this relevant area:
"Lam 4:11 The LORD hath accomplished his fury;
he hath poured out his fierce anger,
and hath kindled a fire in Zion,
and it hath devoured the foundations thereof."
(Abyss = "without base", like the WTC falling.)
> When you enter the church,
> you are in spiritual earthly Jerusalem.
> The David of the church is the Lord Jesus Christ.
Tunes my understanding much. (WTC = altar, not city.)
> I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies:
> The third Jerusalem is the Heavenly spiritual Jerusalem,
> So what we seem to be seeing is the city that rules over
> the kings of the earth is Jerusalem.
> Now Heavenly Jerusalem has not come down from Heaven,
My revision: I say it did, or has started to, 9-11-2001.
> We'll now look into the phrase "great city"
> neither by Jerusalem;
> for it is the city*
> of the great*
> King.
> Who is the great King?
> Therefore Jerusalem is the city of the Lord.
A slight adjustment of your syllogism is necessary.
The answer you seek is tied to the ontology of God:
The Egyptian Ogdoad (8) is a single entity having
four gender-like duality components, and is the
starting point for both the good and evil monads.
These monads arising from time to time in all men
include as examples, Enoch, Jesus, Nebuchadnezzar.
The Jewish Heptad (7) has excluded one component.
This is the basis for God's unity and Judgment.
Any monad might be god, but one specifically was
chosen, Jesus, and the failure of any other monad
to align and worship Jesus, is that failing that
distiguishes satans, who would not worship Adam:
the failing of Aleister Crowley, and of the monad
Mohammad in perpetual Jihad against Christianity,
and the failing of every minor monad that arises.
>From this mortal space, I cannot yet escape the
categories of space and time to understand just
how Jesus pre-existed, but it is His suffering
to redeem all through faith that qualifies Him
as that first One of many right-aligned monads.
The Ogdoads include Venus-Cupid, Ishtar-Baal
type of uncritical (or hypocritical) entities,
wherein is an absence of Judgment: thus evil.
(BTW, It is also the basis of Freud's insight
that the incest taboo underlies civilization.)
Now my small insight is that Baal is the god of
war and of increase. Further, is not capitalism
the worship of development of endless increase?
Hence, idolatrous? and exemplified by the WTC.
Its goals "oppress the hireling in his wages".
So anyway, your troublesome kings of the earth
moves back one step on the taxonomy, including
both good and bad monads. And for those good,
Jesus is King. And for those bad? Destruction.
When Jesus was asked the sign of his return,
He launched into the fig tree parable. And as
a sign, He cursed the fig tree just prior to
acting out the being fruit hanging on a tree.
Then, he segued into casting down a mountain.
I say, that image is performed now in the WTC.
And after that He spake of the ten virgins,
which is a figure of a soon final judgement.
As Babylon destroyed the temple at first, and
you point out, to introduce the wider concept,
Babylon has merged with and polluted the WTC,
which will introduce the next wider concept.
Yours truly,
