re Pynchon's interviews

No fear for Pynchon, either, imo -- as I said earlier
in this thread, Pynchon opened himself up for
criticism  in speaking up about Bush and Bin Laden &
etc. in his interview with Playboy Japan so soon after
9/11.  

Predictably, the only place I know of where Pynchon
was criticized for the comments he made in that
interview is here on Pynchon-L, and those criticisms
were in response to a quick-and-dirty translation
rather than on the text of the article itself.
