Doing without the critical apparatus sounds nice, but the tangential
research -- googled or otherwise -- is part of what's fun for me.  During
the Pale Fire read I learned all kinds of stuff I wouldn't have bothered
with otherwise.  Surely some history at least is necessary in order to
discuss GR?

Anyway I'm pretty busy until the end of the year, but I'll try to keep up.
(No promises or commitments though.)
