Subject: Burhan Tufail RIP
Some of you will remember Burhan from the 1998 London gathering. Others
will have spent more than passing time with him. Together with Niran and
Pedro, he was responsible for rescuing the London gathering from chaos
when
Eric Weinstein, the putative organiser, was revealed as far less than
his
public persona suggested.
I've just had a phone call from his brother, Adnan. Three weeks ago
Burhan
collapsed and died going home on the tube. Heart attack - he was 41 or
42.
His London friends are having a wake in the George Inn on Borough High
Street this Wednesday. They'll be in the room round to the right at the
back of the bar.
If anyone wants to send anything commiserative to his brother contact me
offlist.
Mike
