An early Christmas gift.

It's far from done, but I put up the beginnings
of a new little freeware surfing tool. Download
http://home.earthlink.net/~glenn_scheper/surf4me.exe
to your desktop, and execute it. A trivial dialog
with a text entry field accepts your query text.

Click DOIT and it goes off to, what, about 96
search engines right now, but about 20 of them
do not parse right. Anyway, in the same folder,
e.g., the desktop, where you execute surf4me.exe,
there will appear a folder named like your query,
beginning to collect HTML, PDF, and images, etc.
The many .txt files are the headers of the others.

Sometimes it parses IMAGEs as HTML, and gets stuck
in a long sequence of parse warning messages, but
you can sit on alt+f4 until they all are closed.

Anyway, if you have no other organizational method
yet (like using my prior surf17.exe), you can sort
the folder by size and double-click the largest of
the .HTML files. I have not yet added organization
and valuation expertise to surf4me.exe.

I am barely literate, but my 'C' may be exquisite:
The source code of the guts of it may be viewed in
http://home.earthlink.net/~glenn_scheper/surfer.cpp

It will get better.

Yours truly,
Glenn Scheper
