All Things Considered, December 25, 2004 · Author Paul
Auster reads "Auggie Wren's Christmas Story." The
short story has no Santa Claus, no Christmas tree, and
no brightly wrapped packages. And yet there's plenty
of giving.
The tale about a writer's holiday assignment for The
New York Times was initially published in the paper on
Christmas Day, 1990.
