I asked our resident astronomer what else was notable
about Venus. He said, not for orbital position, but
due to greenhouse effect, the surface is about as hot
as melting lead, and the atmosphere has sulfuric acid.

Well, that's obviously the fire and brimstone place!

But regarding fore-knowledge, I see that Peter's vision
is not worldwide, but local, on that epochal spectacle
of the WTC collapse, as it is in Dante and many others.
Hence it does not mitigate against evolutionary change.
