And if you haven't been to Chumley's (or someone led you there when you've
been there before), do pay attention to the directions (and maybe get a
handy phone number, too), as it is a challenge to find.

Doing anything Tuesday evening? Interested in reconvening this
long-dispersed crowd for liquids and conversations at Chumley's, beginning
some time in the 8 - 8:30 range? Architect/Pynchonian Mark Wright and I are
meeting there for a few tomorrow night, and we figured it'd be fun to round
up some usual suspects as well. Please feel free to forward this to whomever
you'd like, listers or ex-listers or non-listers or whomever. (I'm not on
the P-list these days and can't post it there myself.)

To find the famous (and famously unmarked) entrance to Chumley's, go to

p, or else just go to 86 Bedford St. at the corner of Barrow. The Bedford
entrance is easier to get to than the one off Barrow through a courtyard,
but both will get you into the bar. Either way, expect good beer, large
dogs, sawdusty floors, assorted literary artifacts all over the walls, and
friends you may not have seen in a while.
