I may have deleted some posts, but at one stage you mentioned what you see
as "the obvious connection to the role of Communists and anti-Communists in
the labor struggles that Pynchon outlines". Can you provide any evidence
from the text? There certainly are quite a few specific references to the
Fourth International and South-East Asian history in the text, which I think
are quite important in the context of Pynchon's examination of Left ideology
and history in the novel.
