Perhaps, years later, relaxing on a hot summer's day under a colorful
umbrella in front of some Dominican Joint up around 138th, some sweet
little thing is a Catholic school girl uniform, white stockings, black
buckle shoes, walking up the long steep steps of Saint Nick's Park,
turns and sez,
"I wuz beginning to wonder about that white boy eating off of yo plate,
ya think he ain't never seen yuka and yams befoe. Or food for that
matter."
Ortho Bob, slurping carrot juice threw a straw, face full of yams, rice
and beans in his lap,
"Wooom, veee nnn gu nah woonm ova dnair."
"Mmmm, me and Blood, we was just a couple of stupid ass kids."
