p. 232. Actually, Rex perceives the conservative Establishment as followers
of a "True Faith", intolerant, brutal, vengeful, "bad as they come" and with
"closed ideological minds"; and he makes the connection between Christianity
and Capitalism (always a bad combo in Pynchon's texts).
