I would love to hear from Dave Monroe on this point, but the short
answer to your question is not exactly. That doesn't mean he advocates
political withdrawal (as one of out P-listers calls it) or that P does.
Quite the contrary. But the counterforce (Marcuse's Political Preface
1966) is subject to the Freudian bind, the S&M of the Fall.
