VLVL TV Parody or a Satire

A Satire is a literary work in which human vice or folly is attacked
through irony, derision, or wit.

 Parody, like the parody of  TV  (i.e., the mismatched castings in the
made for TV films and TV Movies of the Week, Will Smith in the Ali &
Malcolm X story)  in VL is only one technique, that Pynchon uses in all
his Satires to expose and attack human vice and folly.
