P on Simpsons

It would be interesting to know if Pynchon had any
input into the script for last night's episode, beyond
his own part. Big opportunity to interpret the
episode, in the larger context of Pynchon's writings
and previous "public" appearances/interactions with
the media  (his phone interview with CNN, extended fax
interview with the author of Positively Fourth Street,
post-9/11 interview with Playboy Japan, etc.).

Also curious that P goes "public" in a program with a
storyline that features a Homer as a husband who fears
he's been, or will soon be, a cuckhold -- echoes the
very public squawing of a Pynchon friend about P
stealing the affections of his wife-to-be, back in the
day.
