My wife, who has a different "yuck" expression for every book I own, looked
at me after his cameo and asked, "So, was that funny?" Biologists. Sheesh.

Then again, the only time I've seen her laugh at a Simpsons episode was "I
call him GAMBLOR" etc. Comedy just doesn't take with her, sometimes.

The two other people I asked after had no idea, found it confusing. My mom
told me if he wrote a book I like I could get it for my birthday. "I love
that Tom Clancy," she added. So 4 votes for "undecipherably bizarre." I
actually found the episode better than most recent ones - "twisty lard
strips," ha ha.
