My belated response to Mr. Monroe's question is this:  Calling an argument 
"twaddle" is an insult to the content of an argument, with an implied insult 
re. the intelligence of the speaker.  Stating that someone must be smoking 
dope as evidenced by the contenet of a post is roughly the same thing, 
except that the effects of smoke are anly temporary.
