OT: 1st reading of GR

After several renewals I finally returned my borrowed  copy of Vineland and went out and bought a copy of GR. I have just started the 3rd section and have a  fundamental plot question mixed in with a few hundred structural and interpretive questions. I have never encountered a text this dense with historic information, spiritual esoterica, science etc. My question is this.  In the first 2 sections has Slothrop himself correlated theV-2 strikes with his sexual encounters? This seems, almost impossibly, since his 1st job was to inspect strike sites, to be the case? Is this something everyone he works with knows but him , or am I missing something that indicates he shares this basic knowledge?
