You didn't miss anything. Close your eyes. Immagine a big, square, 
pale-yellow sandstone building--a 17th C. fortress. Sunny day, not 
too hot, a clear blue sky and a blue sea. Telescopes trained on the 
good ol' Phoebus in the sky. A Maltese stargazer holding a disc of 
paper with the big white ball projected on; a mole on its left lower 
quarter. You discover that the Sun is also simpatico, after all. 

And the positive influence of the transit may be felt even without 
having directly seen it, through the Mystickal communion of 
Pynchonites in the world...
