The orchestration in Van Dyke Parks' "Song Cycle" is Ivesian indeed.
(I noticed that only when I first happened to hear Ives, it was say
'80, on radio; I already knew SC by heart.) One more high'n'low mix.
Rococo VDP, baroque TRP. Scions of Am Transcendentalism, CI and TRP.
