Pynchon Scholarship Hoax Plus Roth

I read the Rosenbaum article. It's hard to see the difference between his fuming hatred for Mel Gibson and Lindbergh's grotesque anti-semitism. The  implied idea that Christians, Moslems, Fascists and Communists are the only people capable of race hatred, greed and violence and that  Jewish people are the only cultural outpost of moral purity is  a childish lie. He is so busy calling attention to his cleverness and bigshot friends that he fails to say anything worth thinking about.
