Recent discussion about this novel inspired me to start it last week. I'm
enjoying it, but do find it a bit strange at times. Some chapters are like
essays, expounding or exploring philosophical points (but the Moby Dick did
so also). I like the very short chapters, each making some precise points,
then moving off to others. The book is almost one big argument... At least
that's how it seems so far.
