Murphy, Molloy and, for the adventurous, How is It?
Read 'em all, let Godot sort 'em out, is my motto.
But my Beckett obsession is second only to my Pynchon
one. Maybe Derrida in there somewhere. And, er,
Robbe-Grillet, but ... but, yeah, first (published)
novel or no, Watt's more for the completists than the
casual reader, no matter how serious a casual reader
one is. I'd recommend plowing on through the trilogy
first, if time is an issue. The Unnamable is really
something other than else. And make sure to check all
sixteen pockts for those stones there, Md ...
