a brief final remark

I don't know about the customs of Palermo or Naples, but I can assure
our Italian friend that we in Scandinavia simply do not rig soccer
matches. This has just never happened in more than a hundred years of
Nordic soccer history.
Could we Danes have trounced the Swedes, we should have done so with
relish, especially as the Swedes are soccerwise our arch enemies and
neighborly strifes are always fiercer than battles with more distant
opponents.
This is a moot point now, though, as we later met the Czech and they
simply had a better team than we did.
Oh well, it's just rock'n'roll.
