It certainly doesn't. And talking of the influences on the truth/lie
business in the Dubya cabinet, it is much more probably - as is widely
known - Leo Strauss, and the disciples of his, say, "pan-Platonic"
political philosophy - a certain interpretation of Platonism, anyway,
with the wise and cryptic elite perpetually deceiving the masses
for their own good, using religion as a useful opiate of these masses,
and, switching to Hobbes and Machiavelli, deliberately cherishing
aggressive nationalism to unite these masses. Shulsky, Wolfy, etc...
