Otto,
as one can conclude from the below correspondence, somebody
does not know that 'ditto' translates into 'dito' in German;
instead he, a native English speaker, lowers himself to make
a patronizing crack at you, a non-native English speaker.
Jules Siegel did the same to me a couple of times, scoffing
at my punctuation. While your English is surely better than
mine (not that it'd be the point here at all), what matters
in both cases is that a deep-felt linguistic supremacy is used
to evade the message content of a non-native English speaker.
