There Are No Postmodernists In a Foxhole

Actually it depends on what the word "in" in. But here goes from a Count
Korzybski/General Semantics pre-post-modernism angle (when is a table not a
table? What if I stand on it? Is it a table or a floor or what?): If I put
my arm in a foxhole, is it still a fox hole or is it a fox glove? If my leg,
then a fox boot? If I shit in it is it a fox hole or a shit hole? The
word-label is not the thing, and the map is not the territory...
Things to ponder next time you are pinned down in a foxhole.
