Before this lie (in the grand tradition of "David
Morris") gains any traction, please note Malign's
original email to my son (and wife) was cc'd to the
P-list and can be found in the Pynchon-L archives]:

I'm happy that Malign has so far refrained from
bothering my son again and hope Malign continues to
avoid pestering my son with unwanted email. I've
verified, in the interval since this first came up,
that AOL will be happy to shut Malign down if he or
she continues to use an AOL account to bother people
with unwanted email. Enough said.
