As it happens, I recently picked up Metaphor & Memory and The Putermesser 
Papers.

I've read most of the first, which is compiled essays and quite good.   

I'll submit a book report when I get to and through Putermesser.

David Foster Wallace is a big fan of Ozick's, by the way.
